Aviation Components and Exchanges Sales Manager

We operate over 150 dedicated cargo aircraft, including the Saab 340B, Embraer 120, Fairchild SA227, Beechcraft 1900, and Beechcraft 99 from bases across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Position Summary

The Sales Manager will exemplify strong worldwide aviation sales skills and analyze all aspects of a growing sales organization dedicated to expanding across all emerging product and service offerings. They will be responsible for new customer acquisition and driving continuous growth and improvement across a portfolio of customers. They will be instrumental in the development of an Exchange Pool option.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for strategizing the growth of Aviation Components and Exchanges business into a high-growth and priority segment of the regional airline industry internationally, nationally and locally.
  • Build strong and repeatable outbound sales targeting the highest value customers in the segment, coordinate with Marketing on content, drive execution and produce successful results.
  • Drive top-line and bottom-line growth for a portfolio of customers.
  • Own recruiting, objective setting, mentoring, training, motivating and development of the team.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, account management, customer success and sales operations teams to drive shipper acquisition and growth by setting and carrying out cohesive go-to-market strategy.
  • Maximize profitable sales opportunities by thoroughly understanding the complexities of the customer's business and building enduring relationships based on trust and integrity with that customer's management team.
  • Successfully sell customer parts that include strategic and tactical pricing plans along with promotional plans that align with and support the customer and Ameriflight Components and Exchanges’ business objectives and strategies.
  • Evaluate outlet opportunities. Ability to collaboratively sell and overcome customer objections.
  • Assist customers in reaching sales potential on company products by offering creative merchandising ideas.
  • Handling customer issues and opportunities promptly.
  • Propose appropriate brands, packages, and equipment to satisfy customer needs while fully leveraging international, national and local marketing initiatives with customers.
  • Collaboratively develop with customer a strategic plan (price and package) that generates desired results for both the customer and Ameriflight Components and Exchanges.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

General Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria
  • Ameriflight is an E-Verify participant

Qualifications

Education / Experience

5+ years of proven experience in an aviation sales role. At least 2+ years of hands-on management experience in a sales environment. Experiencing in selling Aircraft systems required. Freight/logistics experience required. Consistent track record of success vision setting, coaching, development, and driving execution to deliver business outcomes. A solution and customer focused approach with the ability to grow positive relationships. Consistent record of success building a book of business through outbound prospecting. Experience working closely and communicating optimally with internal and external team members including operations, marketing, and customer success teams. Hard-working and motivational leadership mentality established through leading by example for staff, peers and senior leaders across all company functions.
